Peter and the Starcatcher, winner of multiple Tony Awards in 2012, upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up – aka Peter Pan. It is a wildly theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s best-selling novels, conceived for the stage by directors Roger Rees and Alex Timbers, written by Rick Elice, and with music by Wayne Barker.
From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, Peter and the Starcatcher playfully explores the depths of greed and despair, and the bonds of friendship, duty, and love.
Showtimes are Friday, July 30 | 7 PM, Saturday, July 31 | 2:30 PM & 7 PM, and Sunday, August 1 | 3 PM. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for kids 6-18, and $8 for kids under 6. To purchase, click HERE or call 270-904-1880.

Continuing their 2021-2022 Season, BG OnStage will have School Day Productions of Yes, Virginia: The Musical and Charlotte’s Web. Public performances for those productions will respectively be Friday, December 3rd, 2021 at 6:30pm and Friday, April 1st, 2022 at 6:30pm at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center.
Yes, Virginia: The Musical is based on the letter that was written by 8-year-old, Virginia O’Hanlon, to The New York Sun in 1897. The letter was answered by an editor, Francis Pharcellus Church, whose reply ran as an editorial under the headline “Is There a Santa Claus?” The editorial, which came to be known as “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus,” has been reprinted innumerable times.
Charlotte’s Web by Joseph Robinette brings to the stage the family favorites of E.B. White’s classic, Fern, Templeton, Wilbur, and of course, Charlotte! Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte begins her campaign with the "miracle" of her web in which she writes, "Some pig." It's the beginning of a victorious campaign which ultimately ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte. This is a beautiful, knowing play about friendship that will give your actors a great opportunity and your audience an evening of enchantment.
