The Kentucky Veteran Project, an art exhibit sponsored by the Kentucky Arts Council, will begin its yearlong tour of Kentucky beginning Dec. 11 at Gallery on the Square in Franklin.

“The Kentucky Veteran project was well received during its stay at the Capitol here in Frankfort and we are looking forward to sending it on the road to the rest of Kentucky,” said Chris Cathers, arts council interim executive director. “The schedule is designed to touch all regions of the state, giving folks an opportunity to see this amazing artwork by our veterans and their families.”

The yearlong tour will include stops at each of Kentucky’s four Veterans Centers in Hanson, Radcliff, Hazard and Wilmore, where it will be open to the public.

“We are excited and appreciative to be part of the Kentucky Veteran Project traveling exhibit. It truly enriches the experience of both the veterans we serve as well as their families and communities,” said Mark Bowman, executive director of the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Centers. “We hope that everyone takes the opportunity to visit our facilities and experience the project first hand.”
