Napaloen and Neoplitan

The mille-feuille ,vanilla slice, or custard slice, also known as the Napoleon, is a French  pastry whose exact origin is unknown. Its modern form was influenced by improvements made by Marie-Antoine Carême. Its Italian cousin which is in the Neapolitan cuisine has ancient historical roots that date back to the Greco-Roman period.To cut to the chase, Genos has the best, and only within many miles Neapolitan. Ask to have it served with a slice of lemon, the tartness compliments the sugar very nicely.
