The Family Enrichment Center Board of Directors and Staff would like to invite the community to join in celebrating 40 years of impacting families and children in the Bowling Green, Warren County and surrounding area. A reception will be held on November 13, 2019 at Family Enrichment Center 1133 Adams Street from 2:00-4:00p.m. with a ribbon cutting and remarks at 3:00p.m.
In 1979, Family Enrichment Center, formally known as Child Protection, was incorporated as a 501c3 organization in Bowling Green KY by a small group of concerned citizens wanting to raise awareness and prevent child abuse. The agency’s mission is to empower families and prevent child abuse by providing crisis intervention, education, social support, and a safe place for families and children. Services provided include: parenting classes, supervised visitation, adoption recruitment and support, in home parenting education, childcare, and community awareness in preventing child abuse and neglect. Just the past year the agency served over 1200 children and families, received $313,650 in grant funding, raised $131,500 from fundraising events, and had 518 volunteers devoting over 6980 hours of their time.
We celebrate in honor of those who had a vision to make our community a safer place and to all those who have invested their time, talents and finances supporting the agency over the years. The agency receives no formal funding, but continues its work through grants, fundraising and local contributions.
