Down Syndrome of South Central Kentucky

Down Syndrome of South Central Kentucky (DSSKY) is excited to announce that the 21st anniversary Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk, formally known as the Buddy Walk, will be on September 21st at the Bowling Green Ballpark. Gates will open at 10:30am. The program will begin at 12pm, with the walk to follow after.

The Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk is the largest annual fundraiser that DSSKY hosts every year. It continues to be the champion event for connecting with the community, helping the chapter raise the necessary funds for programing, and getting all members engaged. We are thrilled to celebrate the 21st Chromosome and our 21st annual walk on the 21st of September.

"We are super excited to celebrate our traditional walk with a brand-new name that is individual to our organization. It is wonderful to be able to gather so many from the community to celebrate those with a little something extra and a whole lot of individuality." Said DSSKY Executive Director, Stephanie Morton.

Those who would like to get involved, donate, support a team, or sign up to participate can visit and click on the 2019 Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk tab. The walk annually hosts between 1,500-2,000 people and the funds raised serve the entire South Central Kentucky Community.
