Johnny Thompson: -itis

In search of something dark and nutty? Then listen no further than the lastest album by Johnny Thompson, "-itis" [Farm-Out! Records release № 35].

At times seemingly impossible to complete, "-itis" marks the culmination of five years worth of recording, production, engineering/mastering in-house for artists/studio/label.

The nineteen track album features cellist Kenzie Crowe on ten of its tracks with supporting string cameos by Julianna Waller (violin), Laila Crowe (viola), as well as harpist Chapel Tinius and pianist Amy Stone.

In his increasing capacity as mastering engineer, drummer and studio partner, Sean Rice, was crucial in mixing the 24 track recordings on the album.

"-itis" will be available in hardcopy exclusively at Mellow Matt's Music & More in Bowling Green and at Scottsville Conservatory, as well as world wide via all major streaming/digital platforms.

Ahead of its October 29 release date, "-itis" will be available for pre-order on iTunes/Apple Music (with download of 'instant gratification' track) on October 6.

To commemorate its completion, a live performance of select tracks from the album will transpire at this year's "Mellowversary" at Mellow Matt's Music & More at 3:00 PM on October 19. Complimentary CDs will be on hand for attendees.
