Would you like to try a drama…like no other...which might change your perspective on life? In honor of the 225 anniversary of Logan County, the Russellville Arts Council will be having auditions for a revival of the popular musical drama “Shakertown Revisited” this summer, June 29th, 30th, and July 1st at the spacious deGraffenried Auditorium at Russellville High School.

There will be parts for a wide range of actors, dancers, and singers ranging from high school through more “mature actors” to play the citizens of South Union as well as “citizens of the world’, Civil War soldiers, and even President Jackson! Music for the production will include original Shaker tunes, settings of Civil War songs, as well as a feature scene using music from the popular music from the turn of the 1900’s! Presently auditions are set to be performed at Russellville High School in deGraffenried Auditorium on Monday, May 8th starting at 6:00.

A second audition will take place at Western Kentucky University on Thursday, May 11th starting at 6:00 in Room 105 in Gordon Wilson Hall.

A final audition opportunity will take place at the Fourth Street Theater in Russellville on Saturday, May 13th at 10:00 A.M.
