The latest Arts for All Kentucky Side by Side project, 12" x 12", is currently exhibited on their website. As with past Side by Side projects, the goal is "to offer a creative outlet for students, reinforce positive self-image, and highlight the importance of arts education in the development of children and youth with disabilities."
For the program, Arts for All Kentucky offers a series of studio art classes led by one or more of their approved teaching artists. Upon completion of the course students are paired with a local artist to create a collaborative piece.
Side by Side is funded by the WHAS Crusade for Children and the Kentucky Department of Education, Division of Learning Services. Interested schools can contact call 270-792-0023 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to take part in the program.
