Original Far Off Broadway Players Scrapbook Goes Live

The Historic Plaza Theatre in Glasgow reopened their doors last month and at long last, it’s time for the Far Off Broadway Players to take the stage with their first show since March 2020! Since 2006, the Far Off Broadway Players have presented professional quality, theatrical productions powered by the very talented members of our own South Central Kentucky community. Now, they are back with a hilarious, romantic comedy, “Four Weddings and an Elvis”.

In this very funny, romantic comedy written by Nancy Frick, three-times-divorced Sandy (played by Peggy Goodman) is the owner of a Las Vegas wedding chapel that is hosting four of the most memorable ceremonies you will ever see. Getting hitched is about to get a little bit crazy. There’s Bev (Jessica Gilbert) and Stan (Bradley Williams), who are getting married by “The King” himself (Brett Riley) to exact revenge on their exes. There’s Vanessa (Leigh Witty) and Bryce (Paul Glodfelter), two arrogant aging stars who are tying the knot as a publicity stunt and are vexed that their Elvis (Phil Patton) doesn’t even know who they are. And then there’s Marvin (Nick Swayne) and Fiona (Renee Schuler), a gentle postal worker and a tough ex-con trying to finish the ceremony before the police arrive looking for an unwanted guest (Bruce Brown). But the final wedding is the best and funniest of them all. Far Off Broadway Players president, Charlie Goodman also appears in the play.

Four Weddings and an Elvis does contain some adult language and situations, so it is recommended for ages 17 and older. You have the opportunity to see it September 17th, 18th and 19th at the Plaza Theatre 115 East Main Street, Glasgow, KY.
