First-Ever Virtual Cabaret Night

We invite you to tune-in for the premiere of our first BG OnStage at SKyPAC Virtual Cabaret Night. This eagerly anticipated event will be available to stream on our website as well as our social media platforms beginning at 6:00 P.M. (CST) on Friday, October 23.

The theme for our inaugural Virtual Cabaret Night is “Variety Hour” and will be composed of nine area entertainers performing family-friendly routines around three minutes each. While this is not a ticketed event, a suggested donation of $10 is greatly appreciated to help us keep our youth theatre programming going.

Performers range in age from 12 to adult and include college students from Western Kentucky University and a local teacher among the talented lineup. Likewise, the Virtual Cabaret will feature returning cast members from BG OnStage past productions such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Frozen, JR, and Seussical, JR.

In addition to being an opportunity to enjoy an evening of local talent, the Virtual Cabaret will also be a fundraising opportunity to support the arts during this time when live-performances have been restricted. A click-to-donate link will appear alongside the video feed to make giving as convenient as possible. You may also contact Rob Hankins in our Development office at (270) 904-5004 to make a gift.

We will be recording performers for our next cabaret on November 7 starting at 11:00 A.M. Just as with the first filming, we will be adhering to state regulations regarding COVID-19 in order to safely accommodate performers. If you are interested in participating, please email Elise at echarny@theskypac.com to reserve a slot. Our next Virtual Cabaret Night theme will be “Home for the Holidays” and will air in December. Performers are welcome to choose any medium of participation such as singing, dancing, standup, etc. as long as it ties into the theme of the holidays and is both family friendly and around 3 minutes in length.

Please make plans to join us next Friday evening as we host the first of what we hope will be multiple Virtual Cabaret Nights to carry us through until we can once again resume in-person events. We truly appreciate all those who participated and encourage you to show your support for these performers and our efforts to keep the arts alive through both your online attendance and your contributions to this exciting opportunity. We also extend special thanks to our BG OnStage sponsors: Flora Templeton Stuart, Myatt & Associates, and Brent M. Stinnett Attorney at Law, PLC.
